Timeframe: January 2012 to December 2013

Sequoia Foundation was awarded a demonstration grant from the Health Impact Project, a collaboration of Pew Charitable Trust and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to conduct a thorough HIA of a proposed biomass energy facility. Sequoia Foundation worked with the Placer County Department of Public Health, the Placer County Planning Department, and a community collaborative to complete an HIA. Findings and recommendations were provided to the Placer County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors.
