Overall description of capabilities

Timeframe: October 2014 to September 2016

Sequoia Foundation, in partnership with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Public Health Institute, led a two-year project to build HIA infrastructure and capacity within CDPH and the California Health in All Policies Task Force. Sequoia Foundation led staff development and training, collaborating with a CDPH workgroup to facilitate the completion of rapid HIAs, creating HIA tools and resources, facilitating a best practices webinar for county health departments, and leading an HIA on a policy to increase composting of green waste in California to reduce short lived climate pollutants.
